General Information
Free Computer Services for Non-Profits
In my retirement, I am offering my services to any certified non-profit organization. I will consult on general computer and technology issues. I will also design, develop and deploy web sites. I can offer some experience with networking, as well. My main expertise is in Linux and web site development. Please check other pages on this site for more information.
Our Retirement
In June of 2004 we relocated to the Pocatello, Idaho area (specifically
the city of Chubbuck) following my retirement from White Sands Missile
Range in New Mexico. I did scientific software support and development
for 30 years. Susie and I both graduated from high school and college
in Pocatello - we were married here in 1970. In case you were wondering,
here is a picture of our new house shortly before the lawn was hydro
seeded in the early fall of 2004.
About the Web Page
I write all my web pages using a text editor and generating hand crafted xhtml with cascading style sheets. I've been influenced by Integrated HTML and CSS published by Sybex. The top photo is a panorama I stitched together from several digital photos - it shows the Teton range in Wyoming - about 150 miles away.
Credits
I produce validated xhtml according to the
W3C specifications. See
www.w3c.org for more information.
My development and daily computing tasks are carried out on a variety of
computers powered by Debian
Linux and Ubuntu Linux - I am
a registered Linux user, registered with the
Linux Counter.
